Mike joined Principal® in May 2021 to develop and launch a fintech-enabled model portfolio platform.  Mike began his career as a financial advisor before joining BlackRock in 2007.  At BlackRock Mike spent 8 years as a wholesaler, was a founding member of the Portfolio Solutions (Consulting) team in 2015 and managed the distribution of off-the-shelf and custom models through 3rd party fintech partners for both RIA and Broker-Dealers.  Mike earned Bachelor of Arts degrees from Lehigh University in Economics and Molecular Biology and has earned the CIMA designation.  He lives in New Hope, PA with his wife Kate and 3 children Mia, Cara and Owen.

Ben Hurn is the SVP of Channel Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at YieldX. He has over 20 years of financial services experience beginning as top producing financial advisor at Ameriprise from 2002-2012 before transitioning to a role in grain futures spread trading until 2019. Over the last 3 years he has been active in the fintech space having worked at Orion before joining YieldX in February 2021.
